This course provides a practical foundation for teaching early numeracy and counting readiness in preschool and early childhood  settings. It covers the development of counting skills from rote memorization to meaningful, rational counting, using engaging  approaches like songs, movement, storytelling, manipulatives, daily routines, and technology. Participants will learn how to support diverse learners, identify common errors, and use informal assessments to guide instruction, with a focus on fostering mathematical thinking and positive peer interactions.
